I've Seen the best girls turn from pretty to ugly
Get knocked up, put a baby in their belly
I've been the cover for quite a few drug deals
Had me blocking the deals from the teachers
Do you know how that feels?
I've seen the smartest kids turn to complete burnouts
Valedictorian to stoner
They went from college bound to gutter hounds
I've seen drug busts
To Teen lusts
Ecstacy popping kids
To kids doing 10 year bids
I've seen kids smoking lids in the auditorium
Most of them were geniuses and valedictorians
Do you remember that day in gym class
When this kid beat another kids ass
It hurts me as I empathize
Why can't anyone else just sympathize
It's struck me that we're all alone
Forced to never let our guards down
It's just a ladder for social acceptance
But most of us only get spit on by upperclassmen
This is the only life we'll ever get
So why all the hate and making kids feel like shit
If you always pick on this one kid and he can't take a stand
Chances are, his death will be in your hands
How would you feel to know it was your fault
To have his suicide in your mind all the time
That's why I write
Because if I didn't
I probably wouldn't be here to make an impact on people's lives
Do you see the lies
That I've witnessed with these eyes
Do you see that under all these laughs, My heart cries
We all need a place where everyone can relate
But the same problems travel from state to state
I don't know why I can cry and nobody else can
Do you see the kid, beaten by his fam
Forced to become a man
Long before his time
Grew up to fast, now he just stays high and smokes the lye
Can't differentiate between wrong and right
Get knocked up, put a baby in their belly
